Cerec
crowns and onlays are fabricated using a computer to image your tooth
and produce an all ceramic cover or filling and sending the information
to a cad cam milling unit on premises. An accurate durable restoration
is produced and than bonded to your tooth. Old silver-mercury fillings
on weakened teeth can be replaced using this biocompatible ceramic.
Cerec veneers can also be made in one visit and even shaded to match
with our in office porcelain oven. Sometimes it is still more practical
to send these to a laboratory.

Emergency Tips:
-
Fractured tooth: If you can save the piece and it is intact we
can sometimes rebond the broken piece . If this cannot be used
we can restore the tooth with color matched bonding.
-
Avulsed tooth: Occasionally a tooth can be knocked out of the
mouth intact. If so retrieve it ASAP, quickly rinse or wipe off
dirt and place in mouth in socket if you can or at least in
saliva between teeth and cheek being careful not to swallow it
and get to dentist within the hour if possible. If young child
put tooth in a Tupperware container with small amount of milk or
water to keep moist and bring child with tooth to dentist.
Reimplantation can be successful if done quickly.
Implants: Providing a
Long-lasting Solution
-
eat anything with confidence
-
preserve height of bone supporting dentures
-
replace missing teeth without damaging existing
adjacent teeth
For those who are missing
teeth, implants help restore health and beauty to your smile. Implants
are attached to your jawbone unlike dentures or traditional bridges.
Dental implants look and feel more like your own teeth. Adequate bone in
the jaw is needed to support your new implant, and the ideal candidates
have healthy gum tissues that are free of periodontal diseases.

Nitrous Oxide Analgesia
Nitrous
oxide analgesia aids in treatment of anxious patients and children. In
fact most children do not require a shot for fillings when we use
nitrous and for those that do it makes the procedure less frightening.
